What's included in the resort price?
Almost everything. Meals at the resort restaurants, drinks (including alcohol), snacks, pools, entertainment, and most activities are covered once your room is booked. A few things cost extra, like spa treatments, motorized water sports, and certain premium experiences.
Do I need a passport, and how far in advance?
Yes. Everyone traveling needs a valid passport, including kids. If you don't have one or yours expires before spring 2028, apply or renew as soon as you can — processing can take a few months. We'd suggest having it sorted by early 2027 so it's one less thing to think about.
What's the dress code?
Think beach formal. For the ceremony: sundresses, light suits, linen, guayaberas — dressy but breathable, since it will be warm. The reception is the same, just plan for dancing. Please avoid wearing shades of white, champagne, or similar light neutrals, which are reserved for the couple. Leave the heavy fabrics at home. We'll share any updates here as we finalize details.
Are kids welcome?
Yes! The resort is family-friendly and has a kids' club. One note: the Swim Out rooms are for guests 13 and up, so families with younger kids should pick one of the other room types.
What's the weather like in September?
Hot and humid — highs in the upper 80s to low 90s °F, with a chance of brief afternoon showers. September is also within the Caribbean storm season, so travel insurance is worth considering when you book. Evenings by the water are warm and breezy.
Do I need cash, and are tips expected?
Gratuities are technically included, but small cash tips for bartenders, servers, and housekeeping are common and appreciated. Bring some small US dollar bills or pesos. You won't need much cash otherwise, since nearly everything is covered.
How do I get from the airport?
The resort is about 40 minutes from Cancún International (CUN). If you book through our block, shared roundtrip transfers are included; note they may stop at other hotels along the way. Private transfers can be arranged through our specialist. We don't recommend renting a car unless you plan to explore beyond the resort.
Can I arrive early or stay longer?
Yes. Tell our specialist the dates you want when you book and they'll quote the additional nights. Plenty of people are turning the weekend into a longer trip.
What if I can't travel on the suggested dates?
The block is built around Thursday, September 16 to Sunday, September 19, but our specialist can quote other arrival and departure dates. Just make sure you're at the resort by Friday evening, September 17, so you don't miss anything.
I'm traveling solo. Can I share a room with another guest?
Yes, and it can meaningfully lower your cost, since rooms are priced nearly the same for one or two people. If you'd like us to connect you with another solo guest, mention it in your RSVP or email us and we'll help match you up.
What does it cost for four or more people, or kids, in one room?
Rates for one, two, and three adults are on the Travel & Stay page. For four guests, children, or any other configuration, check the booking site directly or contact our travel specialist for a quote: Jose Guillen-Lambert at Destination Weddings, 469.478.6376 (call, text, or WhatsApp), jguillen@destinationweddings.com
Can I stay somewhere else and still come to the wedding?
Yes. If you'd rather stay offsite, the resort offers day passes so you can join the ceremony, reception, and everything in between. Reach out to us or the travel advisor and we'll help arrange it.
Do I book through the link or on my own?
Please book through our link. Block rates are locked, include shared roundtrip airport transfers and a $100 resort credit, and count you with the group for wedding events. Rates you may see elsewhere don't include those, can't be modified once booked, and won't be linked to our block.
Is there a registry?
No registry. Your being there is the gift — truly, this is not a small trip.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong with my booking?
